Ryslig: Other!

[a post for assorted "other" Ryslig-related info!]
[also, very a work-in-progress atm, whoops]
Residence(s)
room at Gregory House
RS currently lives in a communal residence, known as Gregory House or Gregory Mansion. Originally the home of one Peace Gregory (and before her, her grandmother), this 6-bedroom/6-bath Victorian has um. quite a bit of space to it. Immediately on bringing her home to Ryslig via Mana, Peace advertised on the network for housemates - with little rent asked for and the only rule(s) being "no God-talk" (and "don't wreck the place") it's attracted a fair number of residents over time. After Peace disappeared from Ryslig, tending to the place (and the small farmyard at some point obtained) fell to a now-departed troll named Altair for a time, a period during which an entire wing was added onto the house for the now-departed arachne Annie and her haunted doll Maribelle. As RS is currently living solo he's taken to keeping his ghostly companion Kul Elna in the house with him (rather than continuing to keep them in god-Dyster - since they tend to scream a lot, this was an issue while he had housemates).

RS has roomed here since the initial batch of housemates. His own room is an interior one with no windows. His favorite aspect of the house is the large basement which he occasionally hosts tabletop gaming sessions in.
house in the Fog's Dyster
As a tier-3 Fog-follower, RS also has a house in god-Dyster. The building resembles a small ancient-Egyptian style temple, with its exterior walled courtyard leading underground to an entry chamber; beyond that, in place of the sanctuary, is a small underground Japanese-style apartment. It features a cozy kotatsu in the main room.

Multiversal Museum
exhibit
The Ring-Spirit's museum exhibit has no sign (almost like it doesn't belong to someone with a name, weird!) and split into two subjects.
The right side is dedicated to a tabletop roleplaying game, apparently called "Monster World". There are diagrams of a large table with sections that appear to be designed to flip over, as well as also be sections designed to look like buildings which can be opened to reveal that building's interior. There are also placards explaining some of the basics of how to play, and some of the history of someplace called Monsley Kingdom, including descriptions of various fantasy peoples or monsters that can be found there. There are gaming miniatures in protective display casing, and one much smaller display case set slightly apart from the others. This small case is covered by a handkerchief; but if you were to look beneath it, you'd find that what's on display is a pair of shattered d10s.
The left side features what appears to be an ancient desert village. There are some placards which go over certain basic bits of information, such as common furniture or the usual layout of a house - and then, there are the placards that tell a rather disturbing story about a specific ancient village named Kul Elna. The inhabitants were apparently slaughtered as part of a magic ritual. There is talk of dark magic infused Items, and a claim that one of those very Items is within a display case. The display indicated, however, has been converted into a butsudan... sort of.The case still being clear, it's easy to see that there's nothing enshrined within it, only a few devotional implements stored inside when the Ring-Spirit's not visiting. [UPDATE: as of Atem leaving Ryslig, the butsudan now has the Millennium Puzzle hanging within as its centerpiece.] On the floor in front of it is a haphazard piling of jewelry and clothing.
Once a week or so (depending on what hazards Ryslig's currently dealing with) the Ring-Spirit can be found in front of the butsudan, carrying out a mix of half-remembered rituals related to both Japanese butsudan and ancient Egyptian mortuary temple practices. He speaks in middle Egyptian when he does this; addressing the village of Kul Elna (notably, as a collective). He usually offers them some food - which, after chatting with them briefly, he'll then eat himself - and chats to them about day to day matters. Sometimes he brings jewelry or clothing (always stolen) to offer as well. [UPDATE: since summoning the collective spirits of his village via Mana, he's taken to visiting their shrine a little less frequently.]
