[Javert's chatter picks up to a clip, his murmuring belying a great excitement -- or a great agitation. Yes, he had understood Bakura's heart as a soft feeling, tenderness, love. He laughed because of the apparent contradiction, because of how predictable Monsters can be, insisting on one thing and acting on another; that Bakura would bellow about love while tearing his skull asunder.
Cast in this new light, courtesy of Ring-Spirit, he looks upon it with fresh eyes, and gains a new understanding.]
But from Monsters, it is too much to expect that for us all. So I step in to redirect and to manage; I ask only that you are open to suggested projects, and to inform me personally of your operations, so we can assemble a grander picture when we place our work side by side. I want Bakura's ire, his brutality, his violence directed where it counts. Yours, too, for that matter. That is why I come to you now with this proposition. I see no incompatibility with using logic for steering the strategy, and the heart [Javert sneers, his dislike for the term evident,] for our decisive action.
Had Bakura approached me under different circumstances, as you are now, I would agree. So his heart impels him to hate me, very well. If he can manage that hatred, use it to our advantage, and redirect it to useful projects, that would be helpful, indeed.

Logic does have its place as well, that I'll grant; certainly plans work out better with its use.
[ He lets out a discontented huff as he rearranges his thoughts now that their respective stances have been clarified, and considers things from this new angle. ]
Mn, we're not as wholly incompatible as I'd come here thinking. Annoying... tch.
Well, I can't speak for Ryou of course, but I'm amenable - and I suspect he'll at least be more open to the idea after I explain how we've been misinterpreting each other. Working more cooperatively would be of benefit to the Fog, for certain, and I know he'll see that much. I'll speak with him.
Is there more to discuss here, or did that cover it?

Nothing more at this moment. I will keep you abreast on special projects, when you begin to contribute your own, [Javert drawls.] But there is something else, regarding Bakura.
[He traces and teases at the upholstery as he speaks, keeping his hands busy to steady the mind.]
I don't want you to speak for him. You need not speak on my behalf, either. I told him plainly that when he is ready he may call upon me for a productive conversation, and I will leave off him otherwise.
But I also expect you will mince none of your thoughts if you choose to share this meeting of ours with him. I know you to be direct. It is a strength of yours.
Does this expectation sit well with you?

I see. I do think he'd appreciate knowing what that laughing fit was actually about, whatever other decisions he may come to. I'll explain that much, leave any further decisions to him; sounds doable.
And I'll keep your little cooperation-plan in mind should any ~interesting~ thoughts strike me~.
[ With that he stands, ruffling and resettling his wings as he stretches slightly. ]
This was more productive than I'd anticipated.
[ If Javert has anything else to add, now's the time to speak up; otherwise the Ring-Spirit's heading out. He's not storming off angrily the way he'd arrived expecting to leave though - they seem to have actually accomplished something here. Amazing! ]

[Javert will treat himself to a nice cigarette this morning. His treat to himself for not flubbing up the meeting, like he did with Amanda.]
Mind the shards on your way out. And take care! I will be accessible through the usual routes, should you need me before I reach out again.
Until next time, Monsieur 'God King' Richard.
