He continues to hug himself for a moment, gasping when the wave of despair and self-loathing crashes against his own wall of fury, momentarily knocking him out of the latter. None of it's quite new to the Ring-Spirit, not even the self-directed nature of the hatred. However, he hasn't felt so hopeless in... at least a few months? something like that, he hadn't exactly been tracking his mood.
