Ryou's been preserved well enough that Clint shouldn't figure out that there's a corpse in here, which would absolutely have been a problem if they'd tried to keep him there without mummifying him, or tried to sneak him in like oozy contrband around the start of the first October fog. The whole room's arranged, it smells nice, there's traps to protect him from any snoopy supers or hungry opportunists or anyone else who might get too curious, and now, all there is to do is wait.
Atem's seated in the living-room, in one of the chairs around the coffin-table, waiting for RS to finish putting the last touches on the defenses. He's not sure what you mean by "overkill," or how it might apply to this situation. He's going to take care of that body and make sure it revives somewhere that's familiar and not full of screams, fog, and cultists.
